The story
Synopsis
At the threshold of a changing age, Mugdhalina grows up amid the intellectual and spiritual traditions of the ancient East. Her life takes an unexpected course when she encounters Yeshuva, an enigmatic young seeker whose compassion, courage and revolutionary understanding of the divine leave an indelible impression upon her.
Their paths separate, but Mugdhalina cannot forget him. Guided by love and an unshakeable sense of destiny, she leaves the security of her homeland and journeys westward in search of the man whose teachings are beginning to disturb powerful institutions.
Yet unseen forces are also following Yeshuva. Roman officials, merchants, priests, guardians and secret brotherhoods are drawn into a struggle involving royal identities, ancient symbols, concealed treasure and the political future of kingdoms. As loyalties fracture and danger closes around him, Mugdhalina must confront what love truly demands when history itself appears determined to separate them.
